This discipline was founded in 1951 and has trained a large number of outstanding biological professionals. In 2013, he hired the Kangle academician as a distinguished professor (now the president of Hebei University). Biology now has a post-doctoral research station for biology, a first-level discipline doctoral program in biology, a national key (cultivation) discipline of zoology, a national key cultivation discipline of biology in Hebei province, a strong characteristic discipline of biology in Hebei province, and 2 Hebei provinces Key disciplines (zoology, bioengineering); In 2016, it was identified as a national first-class construction discipline in Hebei Province, and in 2018, it was identified as the leading discipline of the "Life Science and Green Development" discipline group key construction of Hebei University.
